The Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SIWS) has an exciting opportunity for Avionics and Software Flight Systems Responsible Engineers (Associate, Mid-Level and Senior Level) to join the Avionics & Software (AV&SW) Flight Systems team in Huntsville, AL on the Space Launch System (SLS) program contracts.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) SLS is the one of the most powerful rockets in the world and offers unprecedented capabilities related to payload mass, volume and energy to enable deep space crewed/uncrewed exploration. SLS is designed to be flexible and evolvable and will open new opportunities for crewed deep space missions. The Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) is SLS's first evolution of design improvements to enhance those capabilities as part of the Block 1B SLS Architecture.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Huntsville, AL.
Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.
Work Authorization:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Access to the facility requires a background investigation by U.S. Government authorities.

Associate Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master +3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD +4 years or Master +7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation plan is being offered for internal candidates.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $81,600 - $110,400
Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $97,750 - $132,250
Summary pay range for Lead Level: $119,850 - $162,150
